Who it’s for

Built for campus teams that already have the audience.

The best campus programs already have a natural touchpoint with students and faculty β€” a bookstore, a technology store, a move-in or graduation moment, a device-refresh cycle.

A practical launch process

Five steps from discovery to a live pilot.

  1. 1

    Discovery and fit review

Confirm intended audience, campus location, device categories, staffing, payment structure, and operating goals.

    Program configuration

Configure branding, permissions, workflows, forms, communications, and reporting.

  3. 3

    Training and launch materials

Provide staff instructions, counter checklist, packaging guidance, and escalation contacts.

  4. 4

    Pilot launch

Start with a defined location, period, or audience so both sides can validate the workflow.

  5. 5

    Review and expand

Evaluate activity, quote accuracy, reconciliation, staff feedback, and participant experience before expanding.

Campus FAQ
Who can participate?
The university determines the eligible audience. A program can be limited to students or expanded to faculty, staff, alumni, or other approved groups.
Which devices can be accepted?
Eligibility is based on the supported GoRoostr device catalog and the program configuration. Common categories may include smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops, watches, gaming systems, and other supported electronics.
Does the university need to set device prices?
No. GoRoostr maintains the quoting and pricing infrastructure. Program-specific commercial terms are established during setup.
Does the university need a shipping account?
Not for the standard program flow. The portal can generate prepaid FedEx labels so the university does not need to supply its own shipping account or pay standard program shipping charges.
Do campus staff need to be device experts?
No. Staff complete a limited guided intake using the portal and follow the agreed basic inspection steps. GoRoostr performs the final receiving inspection and grading.
How is data handled?
Participants are instructed to remove accounts, disable activation locks, and back up personal information before surrendering a device. GoRoostr performs secure data erasure for supported devices after receipt. Program terms clearly explain participant responsibilities and the limitations of any device that cannot be accessed or erased normally.
Can the program use the university's branding?
Yes. The portal and supporting materials can use the university's approved name, logo, and colors, subject to brand approval and the final implementation scope.
