Where are you located?

We are located in the suburbs of Philadelphia in beautiful Huntingdon Valley, PA.

What type of MacBook models do you accept?

We currently purchase the following MacBook models/years:

MacBook - 2015 to 2017

MacBook Pro - 2009 to current

MacBook Air - 2010 to current

When does my offer expire or how soon do I have to ship my device?

A device has to be shipped to us within 10 business days from the time of your order for your offer to be valid. Transit time itself doesn't matter and it's just a matter of getting it into FedEx possession before the offer expiration. So if you get it into FedEx possession anytime before your offer expiration date you will be good to go! But if your device is sent past the offer expiration date and the price has changed on our website your quote may be revised at our discretion.

What if my device is different from what I selected, or if I wasn't sure?

When we receive your item we check the condition against what was quoted. If it does not match, we will either call or email you to give you a revised quote. We are honest and fair, and will do our best to work with you. If we can not agree on the price we will send the device back to you for free and at our expense.

How long will it take for me to get paid?

Within 1 business day of receiving your device your payment will be sent. When we receive your item we will verify its condition and contents, make sure it matches what you selected, and then pay you via PayPal or check (whichever method you selected at time of your order). Nobody pays customers faster than us!

What happens if my package gets damaged in shipping?

All packages shipped with our free provided FedEx label are fully insured for the full quoted amount. As long as it's well packaged, it's covered!

What do you do with my Data/Hard Drive?

We fully format/wipe each and every device we receive, and it is one of the first steps we do when a device arrives. No employee of GoRoostr is allowed to inspect a device without first erasing your data. Your data is safe and secure with us, guaranteed! Please just make sure to back-up any data you still need prior to sending a device to us as once we wipe it here there will be no way to retrieve the data anymore.

Do you buy devices in any condition?

Yes, we buy devices in any physical condition and even if they are broken or liquid damaged. But the device cannot be previously tampered with. If there is any internal damage caused by an attempted repair or missing parts (aside from a Hard Drive) we cannot purchase it. Please contact us if you are unsure if your device qualifies.

Can you send me a box?

Because of the time and resources involved we do not provide a box, but a free pre-paid FedEx shipping label & great packaging instructions will be provided to you upon order submission.

Do you buy MacBooks with foreign keyboards?

It depends. Please contact us to discuss whether or not we purchase a MacBook with your specific foreign keyboard and how it may affect the price.

Why do you ask for my serial number?

The reason we ask for your serial number is two-fold: First, it helps us quickly identify what model your selling and gather the relevant information and second it helps prevent mis-identifying your device.

Does an engraving affect the value of my iPad?

An engraving does affect value, but the exact amount depends on your iPad model. Please reach out to us if your iPad is engraved so we can determine what the price difference would be.

Do you purchase iCloud locked, Firmware locked, or Managed devices?

We cannot purchase any devices that are either iCloud locked, Firmware locked, or remotely managed. Please remove/disconnect any locks prior to sending devices in.

Will you buy my device if I live outside the United States?

Sorry, we currently only accept items from U.S. residents only. We may extend purchases to other places in the near future.

How old do I have to be to sell you my stuff?

You must be 18 years of age or older.

When selling my broken MacBook why do you ask if the MacBook is liquid damaged but then also if the screen is liquid damaged?

Majority of the time when a MacBook is liquid damaged the screen is not affected. But once in a while a MacBook's screen can sustain liquid damage along with the MacBook itself. The first liquid damage question pertains to the MacBook itself (such as the logic board or internal parts) and doesn't account for the screen. The reason we separate liquid damage for MacBooks and their screens is because when we purchase a liquid damaged MacBook we either refurbish it or use it for parts, and the screen is one of the most expensive parts. So if the screen is also damaged in addition to the MacBook it greatly affects the value.

If you are unsure about your screen being liquid damaged please just mark it as good condition and we will just inspect it once it arrives. Chances are your screen is fine, but if there is an issue we'll let you know how it affects your MacBooks value.
