From a MacBook repair project to GoRoostr
In 2009, Jon Steingart began buying, repairing and reselling MacBooks from home. What started as a side project grew into a business. Jon partnered with Greg, and the GoRoostr brand launched in 2012.
MacBooks are still part of our story, but today's supported catalog covers more than Apple laptops. Customers can get quotes for eligible phones, laptops, tablets, gaming equipment, computer hardware, cameras and other listed electronics. The catalog and condition requirements determine what we can purchase.
The people who make the process work
Our team brings together device inspection, operations, logistics, pricing, marketplace experience and customer support. We want customers to understand what they are selling, how their device is evaluated and what happens before payment.
