A17 Bionic chip

A17 Bionic chip is expected to be used in iPhone 15 Pro models, which can achieve greater performance and efficiency thanks to TSMC's 3nm process technology. What might be seen as a disappointment to many, the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to have an A16 Bionic chip. This is the same chip seen in the iPhone 14 Pro, which sort of makes it seem like not an upgrade.

USB-C port:

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, iPhone 15 Pro models will feature a USB-C port that supports at least USB 3.2 or Thunderbolt 3, which would result in significantly faster data transfer speeds than existing iPhones with Lightning ports.

Wi-Fi 6E:

Leaked schematics suggest the iPhone 15 Pro will support Wi-Fi 6E for faster wireless speeds, similar to the latest Macs and iPad Pros. This is very exciting as Wi-Fi 6E is substantially faster than what we have experienced on recent iPhones.

Titanium frame:

It's expected that the iPhone 15 Pro models will have titanium frames similar to the Apple Watch Ultra, instead of stainless steel ones.

Ultra-thin bezels:

It is rumored that the iPhone 15 Pro will have ultra-thin display bezels similar to the recent Apple Watch models.

eSIM:

Apple removed the physical SIM card from iPhones last year with the iPhone 14. According to MacRumors, iPhone 15 Pro models could be compatible with eSIMs only in France and potentially other countries.

Increased RAM:

Taiwanese research firm TrendForce reports the iPhone 15 Pro will have 8GB of RAM, while the standard models will likely retain 6GB of RAM. Additional RAM can allow apps like Safari to keep more content active in the background, preventing the app from reloading content when reopened.

Optical zoom:

According to Kuo, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will get a huge upgrade with a periscope telephoto lens. This allows users to zoom in greatly without distortion due to the digital zoom.

Action button:

It is rumored that iPhone 15 Pro models will feature a customizable Action button, similar to the Apple Watch Ultra. Every iPhone model since 2007 has included a Ring/Silent switch. The new button will replace that switch. Recently, developers has found that users will be able to assign the button to various system functions, such as Ring/Silent, Do Not Disturb, Flashlight, Low Power Mode, and more.

The expected release of the iPhone 15 lineup is in September. That's over a month away and we can't wait! With any release, new features and rumors are expected, stay up date and continue following along with us!
