When it comes time to sell your old iPhone or iPad one of the most important things you need to do is remove the iCloud account from them. Leaving your iPhone or iPad connected to your iCloud account will only create a bigger issue when it comes to processing. In this article, we are going to go over the simple process of logging out of your iCloud account on your iPhone or iPad.

Step 1: Go to "Settings" App

On your iPhone or iPad there will be an app that says "Settings". Click that to open the app.

Step 2: Locate Your iCloud Information

locate your icloud

On the left side of the screen you will see a list of options in your settings. The top option should say your name or your iCloud information. Click that option to open up your iCloud information

Step 3: Click "Sign Out"

On the bottom of the screen you may see other devices connected to your iCloud account. Under all of them you should see "Sign Out" in red letters. Click that and then put your password in the new window that opens. In the new windows that appear hit "Sign Out" on both.

After you complete these steps your iPhone or iPad will be logged out of your iCloud account and Find My will be turned off. Following these steps carefully is the only way to ensure you will have a smooth selling process and that all of your information is off of the device.
