In July, we predicted a release date in Fall for the new M3 Chip and that seems to be very likely. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple's iMacs and MacBook Pros are in extremely short supply, this allows Apple to roll out their latest M3 Chip at the end of this month. Apple just announced their event for October 30.
The M3 chip is the next iteration of Apple's M-series Apple silicon chips. It is expected to be faster and more efficient than ever before, thanks to updated TSMC chip manufacturing technology. The M3 chip is expected to be used in the latest Mac models, including the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and iMac. Keep in mind that this is just the base M3 Chip, not the Pro, Max, or the Ultra.
Rumors suggest that the M3 chip could be released as soon as late 2023. Apple plans to release the standard M3 chip first, followed by the M3 Pro, M3 Max, and M3 Ultra. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has reported that new M3 Macs could be released in October, but Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has claimed that M3 Macs won't be coming out until 2024. Higher-end machines with M3 Pro, M3 Max, and M3 Ultra chips are not expected until 2024.
The M3 chip is expected to provide faster performance and improved energy efficiency compared to Apple's previous efforts. The M3 chip is anticipated to be made using a 3-nanometer process, which is the same process used by the A17 Pro chip found inside the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This process is expected to increase the M3's performance and efficiency dramatically, giving Macs a sizeable boost in output.
The M3 chip is expected to be the most impressive Mac chip in years, providing faster performance and improved energy efficiency. Rumors suggest that the M3 chip could be released as soon as late 2023, with new Mac models featuring the M3 chip expected to be released soon after. If you're in the market for a new Mac, the M3 chip is definitely worth keeping an eye on. With Apple recently announcing their event for October 30, we couldn't be more excited!
